I love the survival mode idea but...

I can't wait for the SDK. I love the survival mode idea, but I love modding so I can't wait to get my hands on that part of the DLC. That way I can start making my own maps. Though it's going to take a while to get used to. I'm used to the Fallout 3 GECK modding program, which is far different but the SDK is much easier to use than that bugged piece of crap.

Sweet. I have no experiance with mapping/modding but I could give it a try. I know Sparks has some and Spartan is also interested in it as well. And I know that they wanted to make that mod. So maybe you guys could work out an arrangement to split the work three ways or something? I will try to help after or if i get a hang of how the SDK works. Just food for thought.

That would be great if we could split up the work three ways. Because modding takes a while when you're alone. I've tried making a three level map in Fallout 3 but it took 2 months to get two levels of the base done (as in cluttering and adding items), and I didn't even do any of the NPC's, Creatures or the Navmesh and the scripting for the NPC's. The GECK, which was used for that game, was very buggy and took a while to do things because it was really slow. I hope the SDK is different and a lot more user friendly.

a while back i made some HL:2 maps... these are the only two that I ever uploaded for others to play. I got pissed off any annoyed with the monotony of mapping/modding so i quit, but if you guys need help, i still have the tools and such. I just won't do anything alone, and I find it incredibly uninteresting (maybe if i was a creative person...)

just put them in your HL2 maps folder, then start the game, and type in console "map MAPNAME" without the quotes... pretty easy

Ya i cant wait sparks and i have a great idea for a mode and i have a couple of ideas for maps, im just getting started but i love it
